The organisation focuses on long-term savings and investment products and builds a significant part of its core banking and payment systems in-house. Engineering and product teams are distributed across Europe and Southeast Asia, working closely to deliver reliable, compliant, and scalable financial services.
About the role
As a Product Manager, you will own and drive the operational backbone behind banking and payment services. This role focuses on ordering, payments, reconciliation, and client administration processes, ensuring that operational and regulatory requirements are translated into clear, actionable work for engineering teams. This is a hands-on product role in a financial context who is an important point of contact person between Thailand and Europe HQ. You will actively manage and refine the backlog, write user stories when needed, and work closely with engineers and stakeholders across operations, finance, risk/compliance, and IT.

In this role, you will:
- Own and prioritise the banking operations and payments backlog, including refinement, sequencing, and release scope
- Translate operational, business, and regulatory requirements into clear and actionable backlog items for development teams
- Write and refine user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria, supporting the team in breaking work into deliverable increments
- Improve and maintain core operational flows such as ordering, payment initiation and processing, reconciliation, and system integrations
- Be an important point of contact to coordinate with various stakeholders across operations, finance, risk/compliance, and IT to deliver products/features as per expectations
- Support both incident-driven and change-driven work, ensuring availability, accuracy, data integrity, and operational readiness
- Create focus and clarity for development team by making prioritisation trade-offs among piles of backlogs and requests
- Consistently collaborate with other product owners and business analysts to manage cross-domain dependencies
- Contribute to scaling systems and ways of working in line with organisational growth
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role within banking and/or payments business
- Strong understanding of banking and payment fundamentals, including transactions, settlement, reconciliation, and ledger behaviour
- Proven experience owning and managing a backlog end-to-end in an agile or scrum environment
- Initiative mindset - Be comfortable challenging assumptions, proposing solutions, and actively shaping outcomes rather than just documenting requirements
- Experience working in financial environments with strong controls and compliance considerations
- Business level of English proficiency
- Willingness of traveling internationally several times per year
